They launder beautifully as well. Just remove from the dryer while a bit damp and you’ll be fine. No wrinkles at all!!!
The thing I like the best is that they’re great for throwing on with jammie bottoms at the end of the day - and they’re equally great with a blazer and slacks. The neckline and fabric have a very clean, crisp appearance that’s great for the office or a casual dinner out.
That’s one of my favorite looks so I’ll be stocking up. I probably have 40 white tees and these blew me away. Simply astonishing at this price!!!
These are advertised as a traditional (looser) fit t-shirt, but they are not the generous cut of a generation ago, and the 5% spandex gives them a bit of hug through the torso. Whether or not you find this look flattering or an inspiration to diet and exercise will depend on your build and your determination. The fabric is fairly thin, but it is soft, thanks to the ringspun cotton, which creates a higher-quality strand that is both more durable and softer. The spandex also contributes to the moisture wicking capability of the shirt.
There is no tag at the back of the neck, which is a plus if tags bother you. The brand and size information is stamped on the material where the tag would be. The packaging is a simple tear-open plastic bag.
As I mentioned at the start of this review, the fabric—95% cotton, 5% spandex—is the same as you will find in the comparable Hanes tee shirt. Both fit similarly. Neither will shrink much (thanks to the spandex). And both provide some wicking capability. And these Gildans sell for 20% less. For the price, you can’t go wrong.
In a size large the shirts fit my 6'4" and 200 pound husband perfectly. They are nicely fitted and the length is perfect to securely tuck them in. My husband says that they do not bunch up or come loose during the day.
I washed the shirts in my front load washer using cold water and dried them on medium heat. They came out perfectly and did not shrink.
All in all... terrific undershirts.
